Curriculum Plans

Since I know you all are wanting to know all about my curriculum choices for the coming year, I thought I'd post about them. Here they are:

Digger (7th grade)

Math: Jacobs' Geometry and Teaching Company's The Joy of Numbers
English: Literary Lessons from The Lord of the Rings, Sequential Spelling 4, writing with a tutor (who is not me, YES!)
History: Spielvogel's Human Odyssey with lots of output plus some historical fiction and period literature (adapted) and Teaching Company DVDs (Big History, World History, and Early American History)
Science: Conceptual Physical Science-Explorations (physics only) with lots of output plus some activities and Teaching Company's Physics in Your Life
Latin: Latin Prep 1
Spanish: Rosetta Stone 1
History of Science: Hakim's The Story of Science


The Cub (1st grade)

Math: Saxon Math 3 and Singapore 2B/3A
English: Growing with Grammar 3, Spelling Workout B, copywork and narration, Evan-Moor workbooks, random literature
History: Story of the World with Activity Guide, lots of supplemental reading
Science: K12 Science 2
Spanish: Rosetta Stone 1
